Level Up Your Lore: D&D, Anime, LitRPG, Comics, and Figure Hunting
Christmas season is definitely upon us. If your significant other is anything like mine, the holiday decorations went up the minute the calendar flipped to November! Our house is already decked out with the tree, garland, and our beloved little Target Christmas village. While the holiday spirit is definitely in the air. This former Grinch is now a Clark Griswold. However, this Christmas I'm finding myself with a lot more unexpected downtime this year.
This past May, I had an on-the-job injury, and I'm still on the road to recovery. My financial contributions have shrunk, and my schedule has opened up considerably—a tough situation, but one I'm trying to see as an opportunity. This experience is why I'm starting a blog during recovery—to put this time to good use!
That’s where my overwhelmingly awesome spouse, a true boss, stepped in. She suggested I use this time to finally try something new. Thinking, "What do I have to lose?" I decided to launch this hobby blog launch!
A New Quest: Sharing My Lore and Loot Knowledge
Now, I'm not going to spend my downtime hunting for cheap mistletoe. Instead, I’m going to focus on something that has brought me joy and fascination for decades: the mechanics, lore, art, and collectibles of imaginative storytelling.
This blog is becoming my personal space station, tavern, and local comic shop all rolled into one. I’ll be diving deep into Dungeons & Dragons, anime, fantasy/sci-fi literature, LitRPG, comic books, and the art of figure hunting.
I’ve always loved talking about these topics, whether it was helping friends with D&D character building, debating the best magic system in a Brandon Sanderson novel, arguing over classic anime arcs, or helping someone with rare figure hunting. Now, I get to organize that passion and knowledge into something useful for you.
